My story

Hi my name is Kate Hoag

I am an aspiring public relations specialist based in Los Angeles, California. I have always enjoyed storytelling, with my storytelling journey beginning in front of the camera modeling for major cosmetic and skincare brands. From these experiences, I became more excited about how campaigns are conceptualized and executed, and I knew I wanted to be a part of this strategic process.

To gain experience in the field, I worked as the Publicity and Social Media Manager for my alma mater, Skidmore College’s theater department, to help promote the theatrical productions the department was hosting.

I also used my public relations skills to raise awareness for a cause that I am passionate about: eliminating food waste. I got the opportunity to intern for the nonprofit organization Rescuing Leftover Cuisine and successfully helped them receive complimentary advertising, spots on radio shows, and television news stories.
